Leicester have completed the signing of loosehead prop Ellis Genge from Bristol.

Genge spent the last three months of the season on loan at the Tigers and has now agreed a permanent move.

The 21-year-old made five Leicester appearances, including the Aviva Premiership semi-final against Saracens, and earned a call-up to the England squad for summer Tests against Wales and Australia.

Director of rugby Richard Cockerill told the official Tigers website: "Ellis has made a big impression in his time on loan with us.

"He is very keen to learn and has an excellent work ethic.

"He earned his opportunities in the Tigers team towards the end of the season and is in a good place to continue to learn and improve with senior props including Marcos Ayerza, Dan Cole and Logovi'i Mulipola around him.

"He is a great young prospect and he seems to have found his home at Leicester in his time on loan with us."

Genge was capped by England at Under-17 and Under-20 level and made 26 appearances for Bristol, who confirmed their promotion to the Premiership on Wednesday night with an aggregate victory over Doncaster.

"Richard Cockerill gave me an opportunity to come here and he gave me a little run in the team," said Genge.

"It has been class, I have learned so much.

"I have really enjoyed it. I just want to keep learning."
