France forward Yoann Maestri has been fined 30,000 euros (£26,000) after he accepted a misconduct charge following the chaotic RBS 6 Nations clash with Wales.
Half of the 29-year-old Toulouse lock's fine is suspended until the end of next season, with the other half payable within 30 days.
Maestri was charged with misconduct following allegedly critical comments he made to the media about referee Wayne Barnes after the match in Paris.
France won the game 20-18 after 20 minutes of second-half stoppage time were played, which included a series of scrums close to Wales' line.
Six Nations Rugby said the France vice-captain had appeared at a disciplinary hearing in London on Wednesday.
A statement released on behalf of the organising body said Maestri "accepted he had committed an act of misconduct and openly apologised for making the comments."
It continued: "The disciplinary committee imposed on Mr Maestri a fine of 30,000 euros, with one half payable within 30 days, and one half suspended until the end of the 2017-18 season.
"The disciplinary committee also ordered Mr Maestri to pay Six Nations' legal costs.
"Both parties were reminded of their right of appeal."
