Exeter forward Jonathan Hill has been banned for two weeks following his red card against Wasps.

The second row was sent off by referee Greg Garner in the Aviva Premiership match on Sunday for striking Wasps back row Ashley Johnson in the head with his shoulder.

In a statement issued by the Rugby Football Union, judicial officer Daniel White said: "The contact to Ashley Johnson's head was reckless but caused no injury.

"In line with the new sanction table, judicial officers are required to apply a mid-range entry point.

"The player received credit for his guilty plea and clean record."

Hill pleaded guilty to the charge of striking with the shoulder and will be free to play again on February 28.
