Wasps director of rugby Dai Young praised England hopefuls Elliot Daly and Nathan Hughes following his side's 33-15 victory against London Irish.
Fiji-born number eight Hughes, who qualifies for England on residency grounds next June, made a staggering 22 carries in a typically all-action performance.
Daly carved open the Exiles to score a crucial second-half try and sent Frank Halai over for a late score following his scything break in midfield.
The 23-year-old Wasps centre was left out of Stuart Lancaster's World Cup squad, but Young feels he will be knocking on the England door come the RBS 6 Nations in February.
"He's been going really well, he's one of a lot of big performances we've had out there," said Young.
"I've always thought he's done enough to be there or thereabouts. He got picked in the 50-man squad, I think it was. It came a little bit late for World Cup selection because I think the die had already been cast with the other guys that were in (the squad) over the last two or three seasons.
"Even if Stuart had stayed, Elliot was knocking on the door and it was recognised by the management that he's there and in with a real opportunity."
New England head coach Eddie Jones would have been impressed with the contribution of Hughes who will be eligible for England's three-Test summer tour of Australia next June.
"He's been outstanding again today," added Young. "In periods when we started to go quiet today, he carried really strongly. He's worked really hard on his game.
"Last season, we could see his ball-carrying capabilities. They were there at the fore again today. He carries really strongly, gets us on the front foot and creates confusion around him because he's always looking to offload.
"You've got to put your hand up and say what a great performance from Nathan."
London Irish head coach Tom Coventry sees "signs of growth" in the Exiles' game despite observing their fifth successive loss in the Aviva Premiership.
Teenage centre Johnny Williams starred for the Exiles with a two-try showing, but tries from Daly, Thomas Young and a brace from Halai secured a bonus point win for Wasps.
"I do see signs of growth in our game," said Coventry. "Particularly our defence tonight, I thought it was marvellous at various times.
"Wasps had 65 per cent possession which is a vastly huge amount to have to defend, so there were times when I thought we were pretty valiant in defence but they wore us down eventually.
"Then you get performances like young Johnny Williams today with two tries. I thought he was marvellous tonight and there's some real growth in his game. There's lots of positives."
