Email or tweet @meganmaurice 4.48am BST WBBL: First to the cricket, which had a high scoring start to the season last night, with the Sydney Thunder unable to run down the total their cross town rivals, the Sydney Sixers, had amassed. It was a powerful display from Sixers’ captain Ellyse Perry, who dominated with the bat and ball. Thunder veteran Alex Blackwell put up a good fight, but lacked support around her to chase the 192 that the women in magenta put on.First up today we have the Melbourne Stars taking on the Hobart Hurricanes in St Kilda. The Stars sent the Canes in and Tasmanians have got off to a decent start, currently 69/2 from 11 overs. Erin Fazackerley is doing most of the heavy lifting, with 43 off 29 balls.
