Griffiths banned for four weeks

Ospreys prop Cai Griffiths has received a four-week suspension from a Welsh Rugby Union disciplinary panel.The tight-head, 26, was cited for a breach of law 10.4 (dangerous play) after Sunday's 33-17 loss in Edinburgh. Caernarfon-man Griffiths came on as a 57th-minute replacement for Craig Mitchell at Murrayfield. He was penalised six minutes later for a clash with Edinburgh replacement Craig Hamilton, who was stretchered off and required hospital treatment. The 30-year-old Scotland lock had a precautionary x-ray, before being given the all clear. Griffiths' offence was deemed in the mid range of sanctions by the WRU panel, chaired by Terry Vaux.
