Crusaders land two new players

Crusaders have stepped up their close-season recruitment by signing Australian duo Nick Youngquest and Frank Winterstein.

Youngquest, 23, is a full-back from Gateshead Thunder while 26-year-old Winterstein played in the second row for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats last season.

"They're adapting well to life within the Crusaders 2010 system," said a club spokesman.

"It will be exciting for all when they wear the Crusaders strip for the very first time."

Speaking last week, new Crusaders coach Brian Noble admitted the previous uncertainty over the future of the club had seen him miss out on a number of potential signings.
