Bradford's Menzies may not retire
Bradford Bulls second-row Steve Menzies may delay his plans to retire. The Australian will turn 37 later this year and had planned to quit playing at the end of this season.
"At the start of the year I was pretty sure this would be my last year, but things may now change," Menzies told BBC Radio Leeds.
"I feel really good at the moment and I'm really enjoying it. So we'll see how the next few months go and see what happens. You never know."
Menzies moved to Bradford in 2009 from Manley on a one-year deal, but agreed a year extension to cover this season.
"I feel better at this point this season than I did last year. Last year I had a few injury problems at this point but I feel good at present," he explained.
"I'll talk to the club about things in a few months' time, but obviously they have a quota of how many overseas players they can have at the club.
"Age is just a number. It's been just a number for the last four years or so now. So we'll see how things go in the next few months and you never know.
"The team spirit here is great and one of the best I've ever played in. This team works hard for each other and is very close knit.
"I think we are getting better and better and think we have something special developing down here."
