Australia keen to revive Kangaroo rugby league tours of Britain from next year

• First solo tour by Australia for 16 years proposed for 2019• Plans include a revamped four-year international calendarAustralia have proposed a Kangaroo tour of Great Britain in 2019 as part of a revamped four-year international calendar. If implemented, the first solo trip by Australia since 2003 would replace the planned return of the British Lions tour down under in 2019.Many of the proposals brought by Australia Rugby League chairman Peter Beattie have already been formulated by the Rugby League International Federation (RLIF), including an international nines tournament for 2019. But Beattie is also proposing two separate Four Nations Series to be held in both the northern and southern hemispheres in 2020 and an England tour of New Zealand in 2022.
