Waratahs cruise to victory in Tokyo

The Waratahs heaped yet more misery on the Sunwolves by running out 57-12 winners at the Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo.

In the first Super Rugby game to follow the international break, Matt Lucas and Jack Dempsey ran in early tries with Israel Folau and Andrew Kellaway also dotting down before the break. Benn Robinson grabbed a brace of tries after half-time and Lucas completed his own double before Matthew Carraro and new signing Taqele Naiyaravoro gave the Japanese side further food for thought.

The Sunwolves got on the scoreboard thanks to three penalty goals from Yu Tamura and one from Riaan Vijoen while Bernard Foley and David Horwitz kicked six Waratahs conversions between them.
