Lions crushed Crusaders in their Super Rugby quarter-final, running out 42-25 winners at Emirates Airlines Park.

The South African franchise ran in five tries to their opponents' three, setting the tone with scores from Courtnall Skosan and Rohan Janse van Rensburg inside the first 10 minutes.

The New Zealanders moved within eight points after 62 minutes when Mitchell Drummond touched down but that merely inspired the hosts to kill off the game through Ruan Combrinck and Ross Cronje's tries.
