The Hurricanes dominated from start to finish as they recorded a 29-9 victory over the Brumbies at Westpac Stadium to reach the Super 15 final.
The New Zealanders ran in tries from Julian Savea, TJ Perenara, Ardie Savea and Matt Proctor with James Marshall adding seven points with the boot and Beauden Barrett on target with a first-half conversion.
Jesse Mogg reduced the deficit for the Brumbies of the stroke of half-time, while Christian Lealiifano added two second-half penalties but is was not enough to advance from the first Super 15 semi-final on Saturday.
The hosts won a penalty from the first scrum of the match seven minutes in but Barrett missed as he slammed the ball into the right-hand post.
Following a reasonably uneventful first quarter, the hosts finally broke the deadlock midway through the first half as Julian Savea crossed over for a close-range try.
Barrett failed with the conversion, firing the ball wide, before Reg Goodes had a try ruled out by the TMO, who said the ball had been held up.
The Hurricanes doubled their score just before the half-hour mark as Nehe Milner-Skudder got the ball moving forward and scrum-half Perenara found some space before crossing over. Barrett added the conversion to extend his side's lead.
The away side lost Lealiifano to a badly swollen eye after 35 minutes following a head knock and - with Lealiifano out of action - Mogg managed to pull back a penalty goal for the Brumbies seconds before the half-time whistle blew to make it 12-3 at the break.
Lealiifano returned with a patched-up eye as the second half got under way, while t he Hurricanes went further ahead four minutes in following a perfectly-executed rolling maul from the line out with Ardie Savea crossing over. James Marshall added the goal to extend the hosts' lead.
Lealiifano reduced the deficit after 50 minutes as he slotted a penalty between the posts and he added his second of the match seven minutes later to bring the Brumbies back to 19-9 before Marshall scored another three-pointer for the home side.
Marshall missed his next penalty attempt after 67 minutes from virtually right in front of the posts, but the Hurricanes were not through yet and some outstanding play from Victor Vito drew in the defence before a brilliant one-handed offload released Proctor, who finished off a great team try.
Marshall added the conversion four minutes from time in the last action of note as the Hurricanes sealed their progression to the final where they will meet the winners of the second semi-final between the Waratahs and the Highlanders.
